Taken by over 7 million students, covering more than 3,800 schools, in more than 180 countries; This is the SAT, the definitive international university/tertiary entrance exam.
Since 1901, the SAT test or exam has been the most important college entrance exam, generally for universities based in the United States. However, it is taken worldwide and, when combined with an American GED® diploma for which the Cyber School offers the prep course, it can offer a waiver certificate, allowing you to enter college.
What is the SAT?
The SAT is an admission test that is used by most universities in the United States. The SAT is a test-type exam that belongs to and is administered by the College Board, whose objective is to measure the preparation that a high school student has regarding the university. In short, it is American selectivity.
The result of the SAT, along with the Secondary grades, letters of recommendation, and interviews, is very important when it comes to being admitted to a university in the United States.
The relevance of the SAT result varies from university to university, however, it must be clear that the higher the SAT score, the greater options the student has to be admitted to the desired university.
The SAT Subject Tests are a set of specific tools to assess your academic readiness for college. These exams provide a pathway to opportunities, financial support, and scholarships, in a fair way for all students. The SAT Subject Tests will test your reading, writing, and math skills, subjects taught every day in high school classrooms.
How to prepare your child for the SAT?
The same habits and decisions that lead to success in school will help your child prepare for the SAT. The best strategy to prepare for the test is:
- Take challenging courses.
- Do homework.
- Prepare for tests and exams.
- Ask and answer many questions.
Our courses are designed to prepare students to successfully pass the SAT with grades good enough to advance their tertiary education. All courses are taught online and are part-time, with lessons typically twice a week.
We offer two live courses, one from May/June to November (6 months) and the other from February to November (10 months); With both live courses, students will take their SAT exam in late November. We also offer an “on demand” self-study course that is flexible and can be done at your own pace.
At CyberSchool we are committed to the effective learning of our students, with qualified teachers who have a study program adapted to the needs of each student.
